Q. I haven’t anything written down and my memory of events is hazy. It all happened so long ago.
A. Our writers are experienced at developing human stories. Our specially-designed questions and any memorabilia you may have will build the skeleton of your story. Careful interviewing will elicit a lot of detail to put flesh on the bones. It is surprising what you remember when you start talking.

Q. I’m not sure of all the facts and dates. Does that matter?
A. We can check whatever is required, depending on the availability of the information. Time spent by our writers on research may incur additional costs. However, generally speaking, approximations are more than adequate.

Q. Will I be able to check what I said? My memory is better when I have a chance to think things over quietly.
A.
Of course. Our writer will contact you after the interviewing process to expand on points or check details further. You will also receive a draft of the book before it is printed. Any changes will be included in the final version.

Q. My English is not very good, especially when dealing with emotional matters.
A. Our writers will be happy to have an English-speaking family member or friend present with you at the interview. If necessary, we will try to arrange an interpreter.

Q. I have tried to write my own story based on a diary I kept at the time – can you work from that?
A. We will be happy to adjust the package price if there is a major reduction in the time our writer spends with you. If you have a manuscript, we can edit or ghost it as you wish. We can base a story on a diary or papers or simply edit them, again to your preference.

Q. My photographs are old and faded. Can they be used?
A. We need to check what you have, but our experts can bring the best out of your photographs. Unless the original photograph was blurred or very dark, reproduction is usually quite satisfactory.

Q. Will the interviewing take long? I have a busy schedule.
A. Allowing for the availability of our writers, we will try to fit in with your requirements. The more preparation you do and the more you can recollect, the shorter the interview process. Our questions are designed to provide basic information for our writers and help minimize time at the interview going through routine details. The stories are based on what you can provide – verbally and by way of records. Each case is individual.

Q. Our parents have retired to the South Coast. Is that a problem?
A. Our prices are based on interviews in the metropolitan area of Sydney. Any additional travel or accommodation will incur further costs.
